Crown Heights Tenant Union

Founding Member, Tenant Organizer, Brooklyn, New York- June 2013- March 2014

Worked with housing non-profits and tenant union leaders to form a neighborhood wide tenant union
Planned and facilitated meetings and trainings with tenants and youth to build leadership skills and membership capacity
Organized the public launch of the Union in January 2014

Compiled a curriculum of trainnings to build a city-wide network of neighborhood anti-eviction groups

The Free University

Organized one day “Free Univerisities” in public spaces throughout New York City on a variety of issues
Helped coordinate week long Free University in Madison Square Park with over 200 free classes and events
